Our students and teachers were blessed with the opportunity to visit the Community Festival of Nativities this morning in preparation for Advent. We started off with an explanation from Monsignor Brownsey about sacramentals, then students explored the many nativities on display.
PSA has a meeting scheduled to finalize plans for the Santa Breakfast and is still looking for volunteers to help out!

Thank you all that came out and supported the St. Mark PSA ornament fundraiser! We reached our goal of selling 50 ornaments and we had a lot of fun! The funds raised from this event will go to the classrooms of St. Marks to support classroom events! Thank you!

Join us tonight for Ornament Craft Night, a PSA fundraiser for our school! Art at the Bodega will be here in our school gym with ornaments for you to paint! They will then take them to their business and glaze them and ornaments can then be picked up at school at a later date! Each ornament is $15, and will raise $3 that will go directly to funds for our school's classrooms! You do not have to RSVP, but if you know for sure that you'd like to attend and have not previously RSVP'd, you can email Sarah Hultgren at shultgren@saint-mark.net and let her know how many ornaments you'd like to RSVP for! It was a busy week in 4th grade! We wrote letters to a veteran, presented our saint reports, and did a STEM activity related to the book Balloons Over Broadway. Students used the Ozo bots to code a parade route. They got very creative with it!
There's not much better than being a preschooler on a 65 degree day with lots of leaves to play in!
5th grade got to play a board game during Junior achievement with Mr. Kenny!
St. Mark Student Council is hosting their annual canned food drive to benefit WestMark Food Pantry all next week! We are accepting all donations of food here at the school and would love your student's support.
We need our Speaker of the Illinois House to call the bill! Over 200 hundred students have received this scholarship at St. Mark's School over the past few years. We want to be able to keep this program alive for them! Please share! #savemyscholarship
