Today was one of the best days of the year! WATER DAY! The screaming and laughing didn't stop for 2 1/2 hours, no matter the cooler temperatures. Students played with water beads and sprinklers and spray bottles and made potions and had a water balloon fight!
Our slime party was the most fun! The mess, the giggles, the music and singing and talking and joy! We loved it and hope to have it available to purchase at the auction next year!
O is for Outside Lessons! Kindergarten has been talking about different weather and seasons and researching their favorite weather/season! Students took to the outside classroom area to complete their research for their weather poster project!
Glow Day was a hit!
4th grade reviewed all the math they've learned this year with some stations, wrote glow poetry, practiced their vocabulary words and spelling words, and painted angler fish! Lots of fun was had by all!
Join us for the last PSA meeting of the school year as we celebrate all our hard work! We will also have a new board to announce after all votes were counted from the PSA elections! Great things are on the way for St. Mark School and the Parent School Association!
Our Pentecost Celebration ended rejoicing in the light of Christ and the gifts of the Holy Spirit!
We ended the year in our Atrium with a Pentecost Celebration in church. Students listened to the Scripture reading of the Holy Spirit coming to the disciples of Christ. The students chose the gift they wanted to receive and pondered the wonder of Christ's light within us.
Water Day is tomorrow for preschool through 2nd grade! Don't forget to send your student in a swimsuit and sunscreen, plus with a change of clothes!
Our students, families and PSA have absolutely spoiled our teachers this week! Each day was a surprise full of snacks, breakfast, lunch and more and our teachers truly felt loved! While the teachers might make the world go round, our families and students are our world!
Today, we celebrated Mary as we crowned her with a wreath of flowers. 2nd and 8th grade students brought flowers up to Mary's altar. Eriana Gonzalez and Eduardo Fregoso were chosen as representatives of the 8th grade class to crown Mary. Mary is truly radiant.
Fifth grade had fun starting their last math module this week! They found the volume of figures by building them with centimeter cubes. Looks like they had a great time!
8th grade had Math class outside this week! Students measured their height, shadow and shadow of an object. They solved a proportion to find the height of the object without measuring it. Showing them Math does happen outside of the classroom!
