Primary students made stained glass mosaics this afternoon as a way to celebrate our Feast Day! They also made a lion craft and watched a short video on the life of Saint Mark. They finished the afternoon with a special treat!
Fourth grade students were working on stained glass art for the Feast of St. Mark today. Saint Mark is the patron saint of stained glass workers and the stained glass in our church is some of the most beautiful religious art we have.
Third grade students drew and painted lions for the Feast of Saint Mark. Saint Mark is often seen with a winged lion, which is one of his symbols, referring to Christ's power and regal dignity.
Kindergarten, first and second graders walked over to the statue of St. Mark, laid flowers at his feet, read from his gospel and prayed the prayer to St. Mark.
Happy Feast Day! We celebrated as Marksmen today with prayer and thanksgiving for the gift of St. Mark to our Church. Pre3 enjoyed donuts today after mass!
In preparation for their First Communion, the second grade students painted Blessing Cups and today the cups were blessed and presented to them. These cups and the sharing of them are a rich symbol of unity and blessing, which families can use on special occasions or meal times.
Students in 3rd and 4th grade led us in the Rosary on Friday. It's always special to see our faith traditions continue in our children.
Kindergarten started their ABC countdown today, which means after today, there is only 25 days left until summer 😎. Today is A for Alphabet Celebration - this is our alphabet stations, focusing on letter rec and letter sounds.
Our classroom teachers have some fun things planned to celebrate our Feast of Saint Mark on April 25th. Join us for Mass at 8:00am and show your Saint Mark pride! Jeans may be worn.
