Calling all Catholic school parents and anyone who is interested in our Catholic schools! Empower Illinois is hosting a training session on Wed. August 23, 6-8 pm at St. Mark's School, 711 N, Underhill, Peoria on how to communicate with our local state legislators in their districts about making the Invest in Kids program permanent (removing the sunset). The Invest in Kids Act, which has provided scholarships for almost 3,000 children in the Peoria Diocese, is due to expire at the end of 2023. Please join us at this meeting to learn how we can talk with legislators about continuing this vitally important program. The St. Mark PSA is helping to raise funds this year for the classroom teachers and we would love to have your help. As you may have heard at Mass this weekend, the funds will be used to supplement classroom events and parties, as well as offset field trip costs.

These St. Mark School soon to be 5th graders helped their PND Irish baseball team win the River Valley 10U Minor Tournament Gold bracket last weekend! Way to work hard, Marksmen!
For the 2023-24 school year, ALL St. Mark students will receive free lunch and breakfasts! Cold lunch students can either purchase a milk for 50 cents or they can supplement their cold lunch for free by selecting a milk, a fruit or veggie and one other item.
We are canceling our volunteer appreciation party and plan to reschedule. So many of you replied that you were out of town, at baseball tournaments or busy that we felt it was best to cancel! We will let you know about an updated time. And keep enjoying your summer!
The school has been busy this week as we host Totus Tuus for our parish and school families. From the looks of it, everyone seems to be enjoying time with friends and companionship on the faith journey!
