It was a busy week in 4th grade! We wrote letters to a veteran, presented our saint reports, and did a STEM activity related to the book Balloons Over Broadway. Students used the Ozo bots to code a parade route. They got very creative with it!
There's not much better than being a preschooler on a 65 degree day with lots of leaves to play in!
5th grade got to play a board game during Junior achievement with Mr. Kenny!
St. Mark Student Council is hosting their annual canned food drive to benefit WestMark Food Pantry all next week! We are accepting all donations of food here at the school and would love your student's support.
We need our Speaker of the Illinois House to call the bill! Over 200 hundred students have received this scholarship at St. Mark's School over the past few years. We want to be able to keep this program alive for them! Please share! #savemyscholarship

It was the Fiftieth day of school this week and what better way than to celebrate it with a 50s dress up day and a root beer float!
Happy All Saints Day from our preschool Saints in training! They went on parade to the rectory for a visit with Monsignor and then stopped in to office too!
Mr. Josh, our Ag in the Classroom representative, joined 3rd grade last Friday to help us learn about soil! Here, the 3rd graders are demonstrating how easy water is able to move through different types of soil!

3rd grade has been working hard on understanding paragraph structure. They wrote five sentence “hamburger paragraphs” and celebrated by sharing their writing and having a Krabby Patty! 🍔📝

We would love to have you join us as we celebrate All Saints Day on Wednesday, November 1st at 8:00 am Mass. As a reminder, students must remain sitting with their class but parents may sit with their student's class and their student.
We will have 20 styles of easy-to-paint, ceramic ornaments from Art at the Bodega, plus all the supplies to paint them! They will be taken to get a clear-glaze and fired in the kiln. All ornaments will be available to pickup at the Santa Breakfast, just in time to hang on trees!
To celebrate Halloween, all students can wear an orange or black shirt tomorrow! Preschool students can dress in their costumes but should bring a change of clothes for the afternoon.
