Our preschool through 2nd grade students have the opportunity to visit the Atrium. Through the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, the children spend time in contemplative prayer as they respond to God with thanks & prayer for all His goodness. What a blessing this sacred space is.

Our preschool students took a tour of church this morning. Mrs. Faley taught them how to genuflect and make the sign of the cross in front of the altar, as well as how to sit, stand, and kneel in the pew and how to walk in line for a Communion blessing. Bless the little children.

Our 3rd graders are reading a poem with a fitting title, Friends. Poetry helps with rhyme, repetition, and rhythm, which are foundational language skills that help children with their fluency. Plus, poetry is fun and can help inspire students in their reading and writing.

Catechetical Sunday is a day to recognize the catechists who teach the tenants of our faith. It is also a day for catechists to formally and publicly commit to this important work. May God’s blessings be with them all.
