We have been so blessed to have Fr. John with us this year and we are sad to see him go. However, SMS wishes him well on his journey home and all our love as he continues to share the light of Christ with all whom he meets.

6th grade students headed outside to enjoy the sunshine and their surroundings. They had a lesson in drawing and really took to it. Our artists are growing and learning each day!

SMS 3rd-8th grade students had the chance to enjoy a Peoria Chiefs baseball game on Wednesday and they had a great experience! The weather was beautiful, the home team was winning, and they got to hang out with their friends. What a special treat!

Today, we celebrate our Super Hero lunchroom staff! Peggy Dwyer, Rob Kenny and Angie Vargas literally fuel our school and we would be lost without them! Planning , preparing and serving breakfast and lunch to an entire school is not an easy job & these 3 do it with love. Thanks!

D is for Donut and H is for Hat Day in First Grade as part of the ABC Countdown! Plus they had fun dressing up in their Tropical fashion to get excited for Moana Jr. as performed by our SMS Students!

B is for Bingo and C is for chalk!

Kindergarten has been enjoying ABC countdown too!! D is for donuts!

Prek-4 started their ABC Countdown off with a bang! A for Alphabet celebration, B for Bingo, C for Chalk, and D for Donuts! Let me tell you, the smell of those homemade donuts was out of this world!!

Preschool has been learning about the Rosary. They love touching and learning about the Rosary beads and often come up, hold onto one bead, and ask to pray the prayer for that bead. Of course, nothing makes us happier than a child of God asking to pray with their teacher.

We are so proud of Kellyn and Cat for representing St. Mark School so well at the Region 1 Spelling Bee!

Don't forget Moana Dress Up day tomorrow!

These amazing ladies deserve our appreciation today and everyday for all they give to our school and students! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

Don't wait to call and join us for lots of fun!

The seventh grade students also enjoyed their day of learning and conservation at the Clean Water Celebration!

Our 4th graders had a blast at the Clean Water Celebration. They learned about the water cycle, the Lakota tribe's commitment to conservation, and had a chance to make reusable shopping bags!

More pictures of feast day fun!

Primary students made stained glass mosaics this afternoon as a way to celebrate our Feast Day! They also made a lion craft and watched a short video on the life of Saint Mark. They finished the afternoon with a special treat!

Fourth grade students were working on stained glass art for the Feast of St. Mark today. Saint Mark is the patron saint of stained glass workers and the stained glass in our church is some of the most beautiful religious art we have.

Third grade students drew and painted lions for the Feast of Saint Mark. Saint Mark is often seen with a winged lion, which is one of his symbols, referring to Christ's power and regal dignity.

Kindergarten, first and second graders walked over to the statue of St. Mark, laid flowers at his feet, read from his gospel and prayed the prayer to St. Mark.
