
Seventh grade students also got time to problem solve in the STREAM Lab. They created load bearing (🐻) roads and bridges and testing the different weights and strengths of each design.

🧭 🗺️ Kindergarten is learning about Maps! We took advantage of the sunny day and went outside for our lesson about compasses. We looked north, east, south, and west and drew a picture of something we saw in each direction! 🧭 🗺️





Up for bid on Saturday at our Auction is this handmade keepsake. The second grade students created this decorative plate as a way to commemorate their upcoming First Holy Communion. What a special item to celebrate this day in their life!


Up for bid at our Auction on Saturday is this original watercolor of St. Mark School painted by Nora Drew, a 2012 SMS graduate. She went on to Peoria Notre Dame where her senior art focus was watercolor landscapes. Her art has been sold throughout Peoria and Chicago.


Our students participated in declamations last night at St. Vincent DePaul. They all did a fantastic job, full of emotion. What a wonderful culmination of months of hard work!









Bid on 2 tickets to cheer on America’s Catholic football team, the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish, as they take on the University of Southern California (both pre-season top 10 in polls for 2023), on Saturday, October 14, 2023, on the beautiful campus in South Bend.


Tickets for our auction on April 1 were SOLD OUT (350 sold), but we now have additional seating (tables for 2) available in the balcony overlooking the main floor. Guests can dine on the upper level and mingle on the main floor as much as you'd like. These won't last long!

Seventh Grade students made board games in Religion. This is such a fun way to allow the students a more in-depth learning experience. They loved sharing their board games and playing them with friends.

Our third graders had a Heroes Museum filled with some very interesting characters! I saw Amelia Earhart, Neil Armstrong, Abe Lincoln, George Washington, Albert Einstein, and lots more. We loved welcoming in guests to tour the museum and hear about their lives. Great job!











SMS is proud to have a beginning Band program, a Children's Choir and a School Musical as opportunities for our students. All of these students have spent countless hours practicing and we love getting to watch them as they share their gifts with the world!










Our Fine Art Fair was a huge success, with over 200 students and families coming out to appreciate all the hard work and creativity on display!

Our junior high students enjoyed some special Pi Day activities yesterday (3/14). From 2 truths and a pi to investigating the ratio between circumference and diameter, it was a great day'
