Our Junior High students led us in a Living Rosary as we joined in with children all over the world. Through #1millionchildrenpraying, we focused on worldwide unity and peace, remembering that the Rosary can change the world and bring about peace. Hail Mary, pray for us.

A few more photos of the preschool students at the pumpkin patch.

Preschool visited Roth Pumpkin Patch yesterday and had the time of their lives! Thanks to all the parents who made yesterday such a success for our Marksmen in grades preschool through second! We are grateful for your support and teamwork!

Even with the wind, it couldn't stop these students from having a blast!

Here are some more photos of the fun at Tanner's!

Yesterday, kindergarten, first and second grade students headed to Tanner's Orchard for a field trip! From the smiles on these faces, it looks like a great time was had by all!
Our art class is celebrating fall with a process art project that inspires creativity and delight. Students use spoons and eye droppers to drip, drop and drizzle bright paint onto a pumpkin. Watching the colors mix and blend, the students explored cause and effect.

SMS 7th grade is learning about Medieval Europe in Social Studies. The last couple of weeks they have been focusing on feudalism. Today, students presented posters giving an in depth look at the characteristics of this social system.
Our 8th grade students have been learning about the original 13 Colonies. Today, they shared their brochures with their classmates.
Our fourth graders enjoying their morning at the Peoria Riverfront Museum!
While at the PRM, the students learned about misconceptions about the Sun, Moon and Earth. They were also able to visit the Mars exhibit and even see some of the rovers!

Our third and fourth grade classes went to the Peoria Riverfront Museum today. They had the chance to explore Bronzeville and Andy Warhol Art, experience a Planetarium show and watch a movie on the Giant Screen Theatre. It was such a wonderful gift for these students today!

On this rainy day, is there anything better than learning with friends? Collaboration is an important part of learning at SMS and helps with communication, leadership skills, self-management, self-esteem and responsibility. Plus, it's fun and happy kids learn best!

When I tell you the students were excited to find out the school musical is Moana Jr., I'm not exaggerating! We look forward to all the fun to come, but in the meantime, get ready for Moana on repeat!
