MARKSMEN MEMO
Due to the change in weather, students need to be prepared for recess and PE outside. Students can bring hats, gloves, and coats. Students should also have sweatshirts that are dress code appropriate for inside the classroom. Until the boiler gets turned on, it will be chilly in the building. Please remember to LABEL your child’s items such as sweatshirts, coats, lunchboxes, etc. This makes it easier to return items to students who may lose something.
We are also in need of donations of small cups and/or small water bottles. Please continue to remember to send a water bottle to school each day with your child.
St. Mark’s picture day is Tuesday, October 26th. Retake day will be Wednesday, November 10th.

Trunk or Treat
PSA Trunk or Treat is Back!
Sunday, October 24th
St. Mark School Gym
3pm-5pm (Trick or Treating begins at 4:30)
$5 per family
PSA will be providing the food and drink. BYOB is also an option.
Includes: chili bar, popcorn, water or soda, games, face painting and more! There will be a Halloween movie in the gym.
Due to the forecast, we will not have decorated cars in the parking lot. We will just have students trick or treat in the gym! Please bring candy to pass out!

50’s Day
Celebrate the 50th day of school with 50’s dress: poodle skirts, greasers, etc.
Dress Code – last day for shorts this year is TODAY Friday, October 29th
Beginning on Monday, November 1st, and lasting through March, students must wear the uniform navy blue twill pants. Also, the only sweaters allowed are the navy blue cardigans, crew, V-neck, or navy blue vests. The only sweatshirts allowed in the classroom are navy blue sweatshirts or St. Mark sweatshirts. No leggings are to be worn as pants. Girls can wear leggings in place of tights with a uniform skirt or jumper.
Online Learning
As a reminder remote instruction is only available for students that test positive for Covid or are exposed to a positive case and are unable to attend school.
Last minute notice of absence does not guarantee that remote learning will be available. Remote instruction may be available only if other classmates are quarantining.
Please note that we do not issue Chromebooks for general absences. Students will need to use a personal device if completing work while not in attendance.
