CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 8TH GRADE CLASS OF 2022
We are so proud of our 8th grade students and we wish them the best as they enter high school.
God bless every one of them.
OUT OF UNIFORM DAYS
We know that the end of the year brings many opportunities to be out of uniform, so we want to be sure to remind everyone what are the “out of uniform” expectations. While we know that the trends right now include many ripped jean shorts and pants, we ask that they are NOT worn. In terms of clothing length, please check below as to what is in our handbook. If your child cannot stay within the school policy guidelines, then have them wear their uniform shorts or skirt. A couple other reminders that need to be reiterated: hair color and length. Wearable technology, iPhone watches, etc. are NOT allowed at school.
A good note to keep in mind: Modesty is always the best policy.
Jewelry / Makeup | Minimal modest jewelry: one bracelet or one watch allowed. Religious medal worn on a chain (tucked inside of shirt). Girls may wear only one stud earring per ear (on ear lobe only). Boys are not permitted to wear earrings. Makeup, acrylic or press-on nails, or tattoos are NOT permitted. If acrylic nails are worn, they must be removed within 48 hours. |
Hats | No hats or bandanas allowed in the school building. |
Hair | Hair must not be considered a distraction. Natural hair colors only. Girls-All hair accessories must be simple and plain (solid uniform colors or uniform plaid only). No oversized bows or headbands with ears, etc. will be allowed. Boys – Hair must not hang over the top of the ears or hang lower than the eyebrow. Hair must not be longer than 3.5 inches at any time and must not be considered a distraction. |
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation following the dress school policy.
SUMMER TUTORING

ATHLETICS FOR NEXT YEAR
We are co-oping with St. Vincent de Paul for the following sports: cross country, boys and girls basketball, track and field, and cheerleading. We are still looking for a 6th grade GIRLS’ basketball coach. If you are interested, please let us know by calling the school office at 309-676-7131.
CROSS COUNTRY
There will be an informational meeting this Monday, May 23rd at 6:00 in the new gym at St. Vincent for any incoming 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders interested in cross country. Coming to the meeting DOES NOT commit your child to participation.
There will also be "runs" in the summer for your child to attend and get a sense of whether they would like to participate or not.
If you have any questions or can not attend but would like information, please contact the school office.
