August 5, 2021
Dear Parents,
On behalf of the faculty and staff, it is truly my pleasure to extend a big welcome back to you as we begin the 2021-2022 school year. I hope you all have had an enjoyable and relaxing summer! Our dedicated team of faculty and staff has been working hard to prepare for your return to school on Tuesday, August 17th. To those students and parents who are new to St. Mark’s, we extend a sincere welcome and best wishes for an AMAZING year ahead!
I have attached the most recent new release per the Office of Catholic Schools regarding the COVID protocols and mask mandate. All administrators meet with the OCS next week, so we will wait to send any more detailed information once we have had the opportunity to complete the final edits on our plan. Our students’ safety is our number one priority, so we will be sure to provide you with the protocols before we start the first day of school.
This year we are also excited to welcome two new teachers: Abbie Acosta (2nd grade) and Abby Steinkoenig (5th grade). In fact, both teachers were here last year. Ms. Steinkoenig completed her student teaching in 3rd grade last year, and Ms. Acosta covered a maternity leave for our 4th grade class for Mrs. Lucas. We are really happy for them to join our team this year!
