Benches

Be sure to check the new benches donated by our Classes of 2016, 2017 and 2018.  They were placed around our grotto area. It will be a nice place to take classes for a quiet prayer or reflection.

Spring Musical – Shrek, Jr.

Come at meet the exiled fairytale creatures as they cheer on Shrek and his trusty steed, Donkey, on the quest to reclaim their place in the city of Duloc! Toss in some hilarious characters, a lonely and annoyed Dragon, and Lord Farquaad with a small – er, tiny…un…-request for a Princess and you’re bound to see some magic.

Help St. Mark by Utilizing our Small Fundraisers

We have a number of ongoing small fundraisers that help to raise money to benefit the school. We would like to encourage our families to help us raise funds by participating in these fundraisers. All of them are no cost  and easy to participate in.

 

The Scrip program enables the school to purchase gift cards at a discounted price. Individuals purchase the gift cards for face value and the school receives the difference. Percentage of profit varies from retailer to retailer. In addition, Krogers shoppers can register their Kroger card on Kroger.com for the school to receive a donation each time they make a purchase. (No gift card purchase needed.).

 

We would like to encourage our families to utilize our Scrip program whenever possible. Using Scrip benefits the school, and can earn a rebate back to families that purchase enough Scrip to earn the school $50 in profits. After the first $50 in profits, the school and family share any additional profit for the year.This rebate can be applied to things such as lunch balances, Aftercare, or tuition.  

 

Plan ahead and use Scrip for your Easter shopping needs! We have Scrip for Kohls and Target for that new Easter outfit. We also have Scrip for Pottstown Meat and Deli for that delicious Easter ham. Scrip is now available in the school office as well as after all weekend Masses.

 

In addition to the Scrip program, please consider using the following programs to raise funds for our school:

  • Box Tops for Education
  • The Coca Cola Giving Program – Coke.com/give

Spalding Scholarship

Parents are encouraged to apply online at: online.factsmgt.com/aid. Families of students currently receiving grants are reminded that all grants are for one year only, and anyone seeking to renew a grant for the 2019-2020 school year must reapply.

 

Deadline date for the completed application is April 15, 2019. Notification of grant awards will be made by mid-June, 2019.

 

Another funding opportunity is also available due to the Invest in Kids Act legislation in Illinois. Students may be eligible for up to 100% of tuition and fees under a new program for tax credit scholarships (TCS). Details on how to apply and who qualifies are available on the Empower Illinois website at www.empowerillinois.org. Students who receive a TCS are ineligible to receive a Spalding award.

 

If you have applied for a Tax Credit Scholarship through Empower Illinois, you can check your application progress, eligibility status, and award status on your EmpowerXChange portal. Scholarship awards began on January 28 and will continue on a rolling basis.

PND Spring Musical

Notre Dame High School presents the Miracle Worker (THIS WEEKEND, March 29-31), directed Mr. Bryan Blanks.  PND is proud to have St. Mark alumni involved in this production.  Graduate Daniel Kerns will also be serving as the stage crew. PND Bunny Breakfast

Join Peoria Notre Dame for a morning of Easter Bunny fun! Families are invited to enjoy breakfast with the Easter Bunny, Easter arts and crafts, and the annual PND Easter egg hunt. NEW! This year, PND is very happy to feature balloon artist The Unique Twist!

  • Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM. Easter egg hunt will be at 10:30 AM (Be sure to bring your Easter basket!)
