The office will be closed the week of July 2

Happy Last Day of School! This is it, the last day of the 2017-18 school year. Doesn’t it seem like the year has flown by? Enjoy the summer…we will see everyone in the fall.

End of Year Balances

Today is the end of the current school year. Please remember that ALL financial obligations must be taken care of. This includes tuition, lunch, and aftercare balances. It also includes any activity fees, as well as library fines and fees. If these balances are not paid by the end of the school year, no records will be sent to any high schools. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact the office to discuss options.

Tuition Statements for 2018-2019

Statements will be mailed by the middle of June. Note that the 2018-19 school year’s withdrawals will begin in July. Due to the delay in Spalding Scholarships being awarded, we are unable to send out tuition statements for anyone who has applied for the scholarship. For those people who are still waiting on scholarship information, your tuition withdrawal may start in August, but the total tuition will be divided by 11 months. We apologize for this inconvenience, but we will not know who is awarded scholarships until June 30th. If this is a problem for you, please let us know as soon as possible.

Empower Illinois Scholarship

Important Update for Parents

You may receive a Contingent Wait List letter soon to let you know your application has been received, but will NOT be reviewed for eligibility until more funds are available. By the end of this week, all current available funds will be distributed.

“If you receive a Contingent Wait List letter, your application has not been reviewed and your eligibility has not been determined, but your place in line is still reserved. If more funds become available, applications will be reviewed and time stamps will be honored for eligible students. Please know that our fundraising efforts continue in hopes that we can provide as many scholarships as possible to eligible students.”

Please visit the Empower website for additional information or email scholars with your questions.

Spalding Scholarship Update

Update from the Office of Catholic Schools

“The Office of Catholic Schools will be notifying schools by June 30, 2018 which students will be receiving our diocesan Spalding Scholarship Fund award. This delay may undoubtedly create some apprehension with school families who have applied for the Spalding Scholarship; however, we will hold fast to the June 30th notification deadline and hope that Empower Illinois will have their scholarships awarded and notifications sent to families by that date.”
