eFolder for May 18

Happy Friday! Congratulations to the SMS Class of 2018. Remember – “Once a Marksman, Always a Marksman!” May God bless all of you as you take the next step in your educational journey.

Next Friday (May 25) is the last day of school for the 2017-18 school year. We will be dismissing at 11:30AM and there will be NO LUNCH and NO AFTERCARE.

End of Year Balances

The last day of school is only one week away. Please remember that ALL financial obligations must be taken care of by that date. This includes tuition, lunch, and aftercare balances. It also includes any activity fees, as well as library fines and fees. If these balances are not paid by the end of the school year, report cards will be held until payment is received. In addition, no records will be sent to any high schools. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact the office to discuss options.

If you have not already done so, please make sure to return all library books ASAP. Students with missing books or outstanding fines will not receive report cards.

Summer Program

We are still enrolling for the Summer Target Program. Please see the sign up sheet attached or stop in the office to get more information if you are interested.

We are considering having high school students help bridge the gap for students who may not be able to be picked up after their allotted hour. After a student’s tutoring session, they will be able to stay at school and continue doing academic minutes/activities using educational computer programs and games through guided learning led by the high school volunteers.

For planning purposes, students would need to be picked no later than 12:15 pm or overage charges will be assessed. When returning your sign up information please mark on the sheet that you would like to use the extended time offered. The cost of the tutoring will remain at $120 even if students use the extra time.

If you have any further questions please feel free to contact Miss Medland at rmedland.

Fall Soccer

Information and registration forms for the Peoria Parochial League Fall Soccer Program were sent home in this week’s eFolder. Please return these forms ASAP so that teams can be determined. Our soccer program is open to students in Grades 1-8 (in the fall). If you have questions, please contact Gabe Trevino.
