Happy Friday! Congratulations to our 8th Grade boys basketball team on their 2nd place finish at state. They played with so much heart, but a victory wasn’t meant to be last night. They finish their season with a record of 19-3. Great job boys and coaches. We so very are proud of you!

Pictures of the Marksmen’s journey to state are posted on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/StMarkSchoolPeoriaIL. Check them out!

Just a reminder…there will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, February 19 in observance of President’s Day. Enjoy the day.

“Screenagers: Growing up in the Digital Age”

We will be showing of “Screenagers: Growing up in the Digital Age” on Wednesday, February 21 at 6:30pm in the gym. The Wednesday night viewing is for adults. If you would like you may bring your 5th-8th grade and high school students. However, this video is for ALL parents no matter what grade your child is in now. Please email me at ndillon if you have children who need babysitting under the age of 5th grade. We will be arranging for care, but we will need an RSVP if you need babysitting to plan accordingly. Please feel free to bring your adult friends even if they are not St. Mark parishioners. We will benefit from this not only for ourselves but also for our children. The video lasts approximately 86 minutes and will start at 6:30 PM.

We will be showing a student version of this to our 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students on Thursday with deep discussion afterwards.

If you cannot attend our showing of SCREENAGERS, the following parishes will also be showing this movie:

Blessed Sacrament – February 22, 2018

Auction – Save the Date!

Save the Date! Our 19th annual auction, Under the Big Top, will be held on Saturday, March 24.

Please note that every family can lend a helping hand. It is crucial to make this event a big success. Much of the tuition assistance we were able to award this year was a result of the great turnout and money raised last year. If you have applied for assistance or plan to this year, be sure to show your support to the auction! There are various ways you can help:

  • Solicit donations

  • Pick up already solicited donations

  • Help assemble baskets

  • Make baked goods

  • Transport items to the auction venue

  • Help with decorations

  • Clean up after the auction

In addition, if you would like to make a donation or know of someone who would be willing to donate to our fundraiser, please feel free to contact our auction chair, Andrea Kupferschmid at kups4. All donations to the auction, big or small, are greatly appreciated and are fully tax-deductible.

The Auction committee will meet every Sunday until the auction at 6PM in the rectory basement. They will be assembling baskets again this week, so if you have time, please stop by and help.

If you have any questions on what you can do to help with the auction, please contact our auction chairperson, Andrea Kupferschmid @ kups4
