Scrip Just Got Easier!
For certain retailers, like Wal-Mart, Starbucks, Target, and many more, you can have an online gift card ready to print in two minutes. When you set up an account at www.shopwithscrip.com and use St. Mark code 432EFF173494, you can search for a retailer using the ScripNow card type button. To pay for the scrip, you link your bank account to your scrip information. It takes 1-2 days to set up, and there is a nominal $.15 fee per transaction, and then the money gets taken right from your bank account. Help Prevent the Spread of Germs (and Other Things)
Cold and flu season is here! Please help to prevent the spread of illnesses in our classrooms. Students should be kept home until they are fever free without meds for 24 hours. They should also remain home until they are free of stomach issues for 24 hours (no diarrhea or vomiting). In addition, students with strep or pink eye need to be treated with antibiotics for 24 hours before returning to school.
Winter also increases the likelihood of head lice. We luckily have not had any cases yet this year, but in order to help prevent the spread of the little critters, please remind your child not to wear another student’s hat, scarf, or coat.
Empower Illinois Scholarship Applications
Tuesday, January 15, 2019 is the official date for the 2019-2020 tax credit scholarship application process to begin.
Part one of the application will be available at empowerillinois.org on
January 15, 2019 at 7 p.m.
The application will once again be a two-part process

Donations Needed for the Art Room
Mrs. Tomlins is looking for donations of dried out Crayola markers to create liquid watercolors. Also, she is looking for small glass or plastic jars with lids (baby food or Oui yogurt are good) Thank you!
Mark Your Clothing
With the arrival of winter weather AND new spirit gear, please make sure that all of your child’s clothing (including hats, mittens, and boots) are marked with their name. This will make it much easier for misplaced items to make their way back to your home.
PND Honors Academy

8th grade students are invited to experience a day in the life of a PND student by scheduling a shadow visit. Shadow visitors will have a chance to explore the PND campus, attend classes and lunch, and learn more about the activities that PND offers.
