Happy Friday! Can you believe that next week begins the last month of this school year? It seems like this year has just flown by, and that soon we will be graduating another class of Marksmen. This is also the weekend for our spring musical, “Guys and Dolls”. If you haven’t already purchased tickets, they will be available at the door for $5 each. Showtimes are Friday 7PM and Saturday 1:30 and 7PM. You don’t want to miss this awesome show!
Thursday, May 4th will be an early dismissal for our monthly teacher meeting. We will dismiss at 1:30PM and students not picked up promptly will be sent to Aftercare and appropriate charges will be billed. This is also a spirit day with popcorn and soda sales after school. (Please remember that shorts worn by students on spirit days must be an appropriate length.)
Enrollment for the 2017-18 School Year
If you have not done so, it is important to complete enrollment for your children for the 2017-18 school year. We need to know class numbers so that we can order textbooks for the new year. Also, if you know that your child will NOT being returning to St. Mark in the fall, please let the office know as soon as possible.
Just another reminder that we are administering our spring round of MAP tests. Make sure that your children have breakfast and arrive at school on time. The first testing session begins at 8AM each morning. If at all possible, do not schedule appointments for the morning for the next couple of weeks, and please remind your children to do their best.
Arts in Education
If you happen to be downtown on Monday, May 1st, you may want to stop by the Courthouse to see some of our performers from Guys and Dolls. They will take the stage at 11:30AM. We will also have a display of student art to view. Come and have lunch and be entertained, too!
There will be a mandatory cheerleading interest meeting on May 3 at 6PM in the library. Any incoming 7th or 8th grader that is interested in cheerleading must be present with a parent or guardian.
