Lenten Food Drive

Student Council will be holding a food drive next week to benefit the WestMark Food Pantry. Donations of nonperishable food items can be dropped off in the boxes located in the office hallway. Please be generous!

Children’s Annual Diocesan Appeal

Bishop Jenky has invited the students of our Diocese to participate in the Children’s Diocesan Appeal, a companion program to the Annual Diocesan Appeal for the adults of our Diocese. Students will receive a pledge envelope in which they can offer a gift of their treasure. All money collected from the youth of our Diocese will benefit the Catholic Charities soup kitchen. It is not part of the parish collection. Especially in this season of Lent when we focus on almsgiving and stewardship, encourage your children to be generous with the gifts of time, talent, and treasure that they have been given. Completed envelopes and donations should be returned to school by Friday, March 31. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Mischler.

2017 Fine Arts Event

Make plans to join us for our annual Fine Arts Event to be held on Thursday, April 6th from 5:30-7:30PM at the Spalding Pastoral Center.

Volunteers will be needed to help make this event successful. To volunteer, please visit our SignUp page: jplacko.

Camp Ondessonk

Students recently received a visit from a representative from Camp Ondessonk. If you would like more information on the programs offered by the camp, please visit their website www.ondessonk.com. If you would like your child to attend, please send your registration forms in soon to ensure they get a spot in the week of their choice.

Two financial assistance programs are available for campers that would like to attend Camp Ondessonk, but are unable to afford the cost. The Camp Ondessonk General Fund offers partial assistance and requires the child to complete a short essay. The St. Kateri Scholarship Fund has been established to make Camp Ondessonk accessible to families of limited financial means. Applicants must provide a copy of their most recent Federal 1040 form. Parents can obtain information about any of these programs by contacting our registrar, Becky Jennings, at (618) 695-2489 x109.

Blue and Gold Auction

Our annual auction “Blue and Gold” is fast approaching. Celebrate 120 years of Marksmen pride and make plans to join us on Saturday, April 1st for an evening with friends. Have a great time while raising money to help our school. If you have not yet made a reservation, there is still time! Reservations will be accepted until noon on Monday, March 27th. You can email Andrea Kupferschmid at kups4 and charge your reservation to your paddle.

If you are not able to attend, please consider a donation to our auction. Any money donated will count toward our total raised this year and will go toward helping us to make our goal of $75,000. If we meet that goal, we will also receive an additional $25,000 from an anonymous donor, making a grand total of $100,000 for our school auction.

In addition, volunteers are needed for several areas. This is our largest fundraiser of the year and it takes an incredible amount of time and talent to make this event a success. Contact Andrea Kupferschmid at kups4 to find out where your help is needed.
